Sneak Peek

I wanted to share a sneak peek of one of the rooms I've been working now with a client who just moved in to her new home! I've been involved with the design scheme as the house was being built, and it is so fun to see the vision come into reality!

This client has been fabulous to work with as she knows what she likes and isn't afraid of bold pattern or color. She has a bit of Texas and New York in her, and we wanted to make sure these styles were portrayed throughout the house in a complementary manner.

We chose to use this fantastic wallpaper along one wall in her dining room/kitchen. Isn't it fantastic? She has 3 large windows at the end of the room which allows the sun to dance along the metallic gold paper...it's show stopping. We also used this company to create the beautiful chandelier that is a perfect pairing with the wallpaper. I can't wait to show you the rest of the house once it's complete!

Monday Inspiration

I was recently in the Jack Spade store in Georgetown, and couldn't help myself from snapping a picture of their dressing rooms. I love the vintage vibe of the wallpapers paired with the bead board. Wouldn't these two rooms be great for a boy's bedroom?

I'm off to get some work done although it's a holiday for most people....the joys of owning your own business:)

Just my luck....

That's a dramatic photo, I know. But this post calls for a dramatic photo of a crying woman (unfortunately, I don't look this glamorous when I get upset, I just get the ugly face).

I had this inkling earlier today to check the Virginia Johnson website to see if my scarf was still on sale. I clicked on the site, and it was $95.00!!!!! Hollar!!! $100 off of the original $195.00. Not one to shy away from "deals" I put that sucker into my cart and checked out dreaming of all the ways I would wear this magical scarf.

However, I just received an email from a polite customer service rep. letting me know that that particular pattern is unfortunately out of stock. &*$(%$#.

Why would you keep it up on the site then and trick innocent, kind women like me to think that they could have their hot little fingers on this piece of work in 3-5 days? Why?

So now I'm back to calling the John Derian store to see if they still have the scarf and if by chance it's on sale....back to square 1.
